Read Me Notes for Heart Families
Heart families walk through moments most people never see: surgery days, setbacks, changed plans, long waits, scary transitions, and the emotional weight of learning to live with CHD.
Our Read Me Notes are handwritten encouragement cards created for those exact moments.
Each card is labeled with a specific moment, such as:
-
Read me on surgery day
-
Read me when there’s a setback
-
Read me in the waiting
-
Read me when faith feels shaky
-
Read me when your child gets extubated
-
Read me on the day you get to go home
Every note is written with biblical truth, prayerful encouragement, and the reminder that heart families are not alone.
Recommend a Heart Family
Do you know a heart family who could use encouragement?
You can recommend a family to receive a set of Read Me Notes. These notes are created to meet families in some of the hardest and holiest moments of the heart journey with compassion, Scripture, and hope in Christ.
Before recommending a family, please make sure you have permission to share their information with us.
Volunteer to Write Notes
Do you live in our local area and have a heart for encouraging heart families?
We are looking for local volunteers to help handwrite Read Me Notes for families walking through CHD. Volunteers will receive the stationery, the card topics, and the exact information needed for each note.
Each volunteer will write one full set of 12 cards for a heart family. These cards are labeled for specific moments in the heart journey.
You do not need to be a professional writer. The encouragement for each card will be provided. We simply ask that volunteers have neat, readable handwriting, a compassionate heart, and a willingness to pray over the family receiving the cards.
Because supplies will be distributed locally, volunteers must live in the Spartanburg area.
