How do you begin the first blog post? Well, I supposed you start at the very beginning.

Our 20 week ultrasound began with normal excitement to see our little baby boy on the screen. It turned into a nightmare real quick when the ultrasound tech said, "Do heart problems run in your family?" And that's when we knew something wasn't quite right. The suspected diagnosis was Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). I was distraught. I locked myself in the bathroom while my saint of a husband stood helplessly on the other side.

Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

My wounds were great. But my God is greater. He never left me alone in my journey, and I can honestly say 4 years later, He definitely bound up my wounds and began to make beauty from those ashes.

Hang in there, my friend. He's not finished with what He started in you!
